OBJECTIVE – At the end of this training, a child will:

• Learn Fabric textures and types, helping the child to feel and identify different materials; Fabric selection and understanding colours and patterns.
• Learn basic stitching techniques, both by hand and with a sewing machine. 
• Cut out shapes and sew them to creat actual fashion pieces.
• Be taught embellishments, like adding buttons, ribbons, and beads, to spark creativity.
• Do a bit of upcycling by transforming old clothes into new designs, encouraging creative thinking. 
• Explore fashion styles to inspire ideas and idea sharing.
• Explore fun and practical topics like the basics of fashion illustration as we learn to sketch simple outfits. 
• Learn pattern making with paper templates and simple measurements, while designing his/her own mini collection.
• Showcase/Display his/her collection to boost confidence.

FEATURES

This course is very practical with a few sessions to cover theoretical aspects of fashion designing through note taking. There Is the use of the sewing machine, plastic and steel hand needles, threads, pattern papers,  drawing tools, and so on
